NEW DELHI - The Central Secretariat-Sarita Vihar corridor of the Delhi Metro, which is a crucial link to the XIX Commonwealth Games main venue, the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, rolled out to the public on Sunday morning, hours before the opening ceremony of the sporting extravaganza.

NEW DELHI/RAJKOT - With the country geared up for the opening ceremony of the XIX Commonwealth Games to be held here this evening, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has slammed the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre for alleged misappropriation of funds and international criticism the country faced over the sloppy preparations in organising the event.
