DMRC Experience Of K Rosaiah

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Before the government of Andhra Pradesh gears up to start the work of metro rail in Hyderabad, K Rosaiah the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh traveled on Delhi Metro on Sunday to get a feel of the metro ride. He boarded at the Central Secretariat and traveled till Rajiv Chowk Metro station. He was accompanied by Raj Kumar and Mangu Singh, the DMRC directors. The CM asked a number of questions on the Delhi Metro. He was also informed by the DMRC officials about the maintenance and functioning of the transport system that has made commuting a different experience fort the residents of the capital. The CM also talked with a few passengers.
After the CM reached Rajiv Chowk station of Delhi Metro he went to Ramakrishna Ashram Marg station which is an elevated station. He later talked with the media and said that Hyderabad urgently needs metro because it is expanding fast and traffic congestion is increasing by leaps and bounds. He also said that it is one of the leading cities in India and without an urban transport system like the metro its progress will be bottlenecked.
After getting the experience of traveling in Delhi Metro the CM seemed impressed. He said that his tryst with DMRC will play a crucial role behind the construction of metro in Hyderabad in near future. DMRC is also trying to expand and augment its facilities before the much awaited commonwealth games that will start in Delhi. It will set up special interactive digital information pods at select stations before the games commence.
