Bowe Bergdahl In Taliban Video

POCATELLO (GaeaTimes.com)- Talibans post new pictures of Bowe Bergdahl, the US soldier who has been held in captivity for 18 months in Afghanistan has been released on Tuesday. His captor Haji Nadeem, who is the Taliban deputy district commander in Paktika previously claimed that he has been converted to Islam and his new name is Abdullah. However, in the newly released video he appeared without a beard and he had visible wounds on his left cheek.
Bowe Bergdahl was captured by Taliban soldiers in June 2009 and the Talibans demanded $1 million along with the 21 prisoners in exchange of the US soldier. However, the Pentagon officials said that it is still not clear where the US soldier is being held. In the new video, Bowe Bergdahl is seen sitting next to Maulawi Sangin and the former is seen with a wound below his left eye. Spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Timothy Marsano confirmed that US Soldier’s family has seen the video and said that it was Bowe Bergdahl. The new video last for about 45 minutes and it shows the captive with a tan shirt. However, the new video claims that the US soldier has taught Talibans ambush skills and bomb making.
Haji Nadeem has claimed that Bowe Bergdahl has shown them how to turn a mobile phone into a roadside bomb. Bowe Bergdahl’s video was last posted on April where he pleaded to go back home. The US soldiers are still searching for him but nobody can still find a trace of the captive. Pentagon spokesman, Colonel Dave Lapan said that the Taliban soldiers use Bowe Bergdahl is using his face for their video footage.
