Dolby Laboratories opens research center in China
NEW YORK — Dolby Laboratories Inc., the audio technology company, said Tuesday it has opened its first research and engineering center in China.
Dolby said the center, which is based in Beijing, is an attempt to attract and develop talent in the region.
The company said it has had a presence in Chinese markets for the past 25 years and now has six offices in the region. But Dolby said this is the first time it has created a lab and a research team in the region from the ground up.
