Obama discusses health care

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama takes a short trip to suburban Maryland on Tuesday to talk with senior citizens.

They’ll discuss health care and, with the $250 “doughnut hole” rebate checks soon to be mailed, efforts to combat scams aimed at seniors.

People across the country will be able to participate in the televised town hall meeting by phone. The meeting will air on C-SPAN and on the White House website.

The president and first lady will host a picnic for members of Congress on Tuesday evening.
