Obama to deliver eulogy, present teacher award

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will deliver the eulogy Thursday morning at the funeral of civil rights leader Dorothy Height (hyt).

The service will be held at Washington National Cathedral.

Height died last week at age 98 after a long illness.

In the afternoon, Obama will present the 2010 National Teacher of the Year Award and honor state teachers of the year from all across the country.

Jill Biden, wife of the vice president, and Education Secretary Arne Duncan will join the president for the event in the White House Rose Garden.
