LONDON - An eight-year-old from York rings bells weighing up to 32 stone, despite only weighing four stone himself.

Ewan Hull, who took up the hobby when he was five, is part of a bell-ringing family and joins nine others at St Wilfrid’s Church, in York.

What’s more, he is celebrating ringing his first quarter peal on 10 bells - a continuous piece of bell ringing lasting 45 minutes that many adult bell ringers fail to accomplish.

“We think he was the youngest person to ring his quarter peal on 10 bells, it’s like your bell- ringing A Levels,” the Daily Express quoted his mother Alison, as saying.

Ewan said, “All the other bell-ringers are grown up but I don’t mind.”

He added, “Sometimes I get tired when I have been doing it after a while but I just keep ringing.” (ANI)
