Mobiles go off in Kashmir ahead of R’Day

SRINAGAR - Mobile phone connectivity was suspended across the Kashmir Valley ahead of the Republic Day celebrations Wednesday due to security reasons, official sources said.

The move comes to avoid the use of mobile telephones by Pakistan-backed militants to trigger improvised explosive devices, the sources said.
