SYDNEY - Australian men are now becoming “too soft” and have “ditched their manhood to become metrosexuals”.

A survey was conducted among “Aussie blokes”, which said that the findings were a “little un-Australian”, the Herald Sun reported Sunday.

It was conducted ahead of a multi-million-dollar national campaign for Australia’s VB beer company that hit television screens Sunday.

Australian men admit to becoming superficial because they believe it makes them look better.

A total of 16 percent admit to exaggerating their job title “in front of mates” to make themselves more important while 19 percent of men pose for a photo especially for their Facebook or Twitter profiles.

Many have confessed to wearing designer clothes and buying the latest gadgets to boost their impression.

Paul Donaldson, marketing manager for VB, said commercials often reflect what was going on in society.

“We’re not poking fun at metrosexuals but it’s about normal blokes who stray a little bit,” Donaldson said. “Women are saying where are the real men?” he said.
