Obama to raise more cash for Boxer in Calif.
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is heading to California for the second time in as many months to help raise cash for Sen. Barbara Boxer’s re-election campaign.
An administration official said Thursday that Obama would appear with Boxer, D-Calif., at a fundraiser in San Francisco next Tuesday. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the trip hasn’t been announced yet.
Obama headlined three fundraisers for Boxer in Los Angeles on April 19. At one, he warned that the three-term senator faces a tough re-election battle because of the economy. Her opponent will be decided in a June 8 GOP primary.
