Summary Box: Corn falls on fading hopes for China
EXPORT OR NOT?: Corn prices fell Thursday on fading market speculation that China may be interested in buying U.S. corn.
GRAIN’S TROUBLES: With supplies already adequate for corn, wheat and grain, one analyst said it likely will take severe weather, such as a lot of rain or heat, to rally prices.
RETREATING METALS: Prices for gold, silver, copper and other metals also retreated as investors worried that Greece’s financial crisis could delay the global economic recovery.
