LONDON - US Senator-elect Scott Brown’s daughter Ayla is said to have received many offers from men after he announced in his Massachusetts Senate seat victory speech that she was “available”.

Ayla, 21, who is a singer and a Boston College student, revealed that she tightened the privacy settings on her Facebook profile after she was flooded with friend requests.

“I had 1,568 friend requests and 300 inbox messages - mostly from men,” Times Online quoted her as saying.

“And I got a whole lot of business cards,” she said.

Ayla is no stranger to being in the public eye. She made it to the final 16 of the American Idol TV talent contest with a rendition of Christina Aguilera’s ‘Reflections’.

Because of the media attention surrounding her father’s victory to take Edward Kennedy’s old Senate seat, she has moved forward the release date of her third album, Circles.

But her father’s unscripted comments took her by surprise, when he said that she was available.

“My jaw dropped. I was like, that definitely wasn’t in the script!” she said.

“I definitely had a talk with my Dad,” she added. (ANI)
