KARACHI - Despite the Pakistan government giving several assurances to protect minorities, several marginalized sections of society, especially the Hindus, continue to bear the brunt of the government's apathy in the country.
KARACHI - Pakistani intelligence agencies have freed many suspected militants, including two Jaish-e-Muhammed operatives, who were arrested over alleged links with Faisal Shahzad, the American citizen of Pakistani origin who has confessed to have plotted the bungled Times Square bombing.

KARACHI - Former Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf's 'safe' exit and incumbent President Asif Ali Zardari's return to the country was part of a deal inked between both leaders, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) General Secretary Mushahid Hussain Syed has said.
KARACHI - Keeping in view the global situation, it was imperative for both India and Pakistan to work together for improving ties, and her book: "Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi" would play its due role in the peace process, Pakistani author Azra Gorakhpuri has said.
