ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's Commerce Ministry has rejected media reports regarding the country signing a trade agreement with Afghanistan.
ISLAMABAD - In an apparent bid to ease tension between him and his Indian counterpart S M Krishna, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has reportedly sent a 'personal' condolence message over the horrific train disaster in West Bengal's Sainthia earlier this week.
ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's anti-terrorism authority chief has resigned citing personal reasons.
According to reports, Director General (DG) National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) Tariq Pervez has submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, who is yet to accept it.
ISLAMABAD - Pakistan security forces shot down three suicide bombers on Tuesday while they were trying to force their way into an army centre in Mardan, situated 60 kilometres away from Peshawar, the capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly the North West Frontier Province, NWFP).
ISLAMABAD - The United States has rejected Pakistan's request to mediate between it and India to help both resolve outstanding issues, including Kashmir and the river water sharing dispute.
