Brit couple find image of E.T. ingrained on chopped tree trunk

LONDON - A retired couple in Britain were surprised when while chopping firewood they discovered the image of E.T. etched on the tree trunk.
Pete Burford, 72, was chopping a poplar tree at Eldersfield, Gloucestershire, when he saw a familiar face staring back at him that reminded him of ET - the famous alien from Steven Spielberg’s 1982 movie.
“It’s probably just one of those things, but it so looks like E.T. I couldn’t believe it,” the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.
The extraterrestrial experience is not the first for the couple - Burford’s wife, Sylvia, had an odd experience 40 years ago.
“I saw something that had a saucer shape with a great big bright light underneath. It was there for two or three seconds and then disappeared. It was quite eerie and quite frightening,” she said.
Now the couple, of Moat Lane, Staunton, near Tewkesbury, are wondering if extraterrestrials are trying to tell them something.
“I think there’s something out there,” Burford replied after he was asked if he felt aliens might exist. (ANI)
