NALCO chief sent to CBI custody till March 3

NEW DELHI - A Delhi court on Saturday remanded National Aluminium Company Ltd (NALCO) Chairman and Managing Director Abhay Kumar Srivastava in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody till March 3 in a bribery case.
The CBI had arrested Srivastava on Friday for allegedly demanding and accepting bribes in the form of gold bricks.
Srivastava, along with wife, Chandni Srivastava, and two accomplices, Bhushan Lal Bajaj and Anita Bajaj were produced at the Patiala House Court.
Srivastava and his wife were arrested for accepting an illegal gratification of three gold bricks, each weighing a kilogram, of 24 carat gold.
His wife was accepting the bribe from Anita Bajaj. The two accomplices were reportedly brokering a deal between Srivastava and a Madhya Pradesh-based company. (ANI)
