Maruti Suzuki launches diesel version sedan SX4

NEW DELHI - Automobile major Maruti Suzuki, launched the much awaited diesel model of its mid-sized sedan SX4 in New Delhi on Tuesday .

With an average of 21.5 kilometers per litre, the car costs Rupees 7.74 lakh.

Mayank Prateek, Executive Director of Maruti Suzuki India Limited highlighted various plus points of the car and termed it a notable milestone in the company’s growth.

“See, this is a very important entry into A3 plus diesel market. Diesel market is growing and what were have released is that in A3 plus almost 60-65 percent who buy a A3 plus cars buy a diesel car. So sensing that, we thought it’s important that we provide choice to the customers. So we launched this. This is super turbo diesel, which gives a fuel efficiency of 21.5 kilometres to a litre, which is best in its class,” he said.

He also stated that the sales of diesel cars have significantly gone up over the past couple of years. (ANI)
