Twenty militants killed in military operation in Pak’s Mohmand Agency

ISLAMABAD - Twenty militants were killed and 30 others wounded in Pakistan’s Mohmand Agency in a military operation launched in retaliation against insurgents’ attack on a security check post on Sunday.
A large number of militants attacked a security forces’ check post in Salalah near the Pak-Afghan border in Baizai Tehsil, Dunya News reported.
The security forces foiled the terror strike by the extremists, who had attacked after midnight and were not expecting such retaliation.
According to officials, there was a three-hour gun battle between militants and the security forces. After the attack, the security forces were put on high alert while heavy surveillance was put on everyone coming in and out of the region. (ANI)
