Arizona survivor blames Palin’s ‘crosshair’ posting for shooting mayhem

WASHINGTON - Eric Fuller, a 63-year-old veteran who survived the Arizona shootings after being shot in the knee and the back, has blamed US potential presidential candidate Sarah Palin, House Speaker John Boehner, Fox TV host Glenn Beck and former Nevada GOP Senate candidate Sharron Angle for the tragedy.
Representative Gabrielle Giffords, an Arizona Democrat, and 18 others were shot last week when a gunman opened fire outside a supermarket where Giffords was meeting with her constituents.
“It looks like Palin, Beck, Sharron Angle and the rest got their first target,” Politico quoted Fuller, as saying.
Referring to the death of Christina Taylor Green, he said: “Their wish for Second Amendment activism has been fulfilled - senseless hatred leading to murder, lunatic fringe anarchism, subscribed to by John Boehner, mainstream rebels with vengeance for all - even 9-year-old girls.”
Fuller, who had campaigned for Giffords during her re-election and was at the supermarket for her Congress on Your Corner event, blamed Palin for posting crosshairs images on her Facebook page ahead of last year’s mid-term elections that targeted even Giffords.
“I would put Sarah Palin in first place there. I think, really, she should be incarcerated for treason for advocating assassinating public officials. That map I saw that she published on the Internet had crosshairs on it and one of them was meant for Gabrielle Giffords,” he added.
Following the incident last week, Fuller had avoided pointing finger at any of the politicians, but only called the shooter, Jared Loughner, as a “madman.”
Giffords, who is in critical condition after being shot in Tucson, had become a target of Palin in the mid-term elections, and had reportedly posted on her Facebook page a U.S. map with crosshairs of a rifle scope over the districts repped by Giffords and 19 other Democrats. (ANI)
