PAHALGAM - The Indian Army recently organized a career counselling session for unemployed youth and school children in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam town.
Senior army officials said the counselling session has been initiated with the motive to provide career-related guidance so that the youth recognise their strengths and use it to build their future.
“We realised that there are a lot of youth, who are educated but are unemployed due to lack of right guidance. So, our core commander and GOC (General Officer Commanding) began a little effort for the public, which we call Army Guidance and Employment Node,” said Indian Army Commanding Officer A. P. S. Bal.
The counselling session on Monday saw a fair turnout of local youth.
“We are learning from this so that we can pick our aim and know the field in which we can make our career, and do something that is of our interest in order to build our future. We are happy with the counselling provided to us here. Earlier there was nothing, but now there are a lot of developments here,” said Suneet Kaur, a student. (ANI)
