DHARAMSALA - The cold wave has hit the tourism industry here, and also thrown normal life out of gear.

With the continuous change in weather conditions, the hilly town of Dharamsala sees few tourists, which has affected businesses all over.

“The number of tourists is too little these days in comparison with previous years. The hotels are almost empty and you can see the scenario of markets, closed shops, and less number of tourists,” said Bobby Rana, a shopkeeper.

Jack Harry, a tourist from the USA, said the chilly weather has diverted tourists towards southern parts of the country.

“It’s cold now. I need a heater to just take the chill off in the morning or in the night and I have noticed very few tourists here. I have been in this area before also. No doubt the people now like to go the south during the winter season,” he said. (ANI)
