LONDON (GaeaTimes.com)- On Thursday an attack was launched on the royal couple Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall as a result of a vehement protest against the price hike in university fees. The incident took place in central London when the Prince of Wales and his wife were on their way to London Palladium for a theater performance when their car was attacked. However, they ultimately managed to arrive unharmed at the destined venue.

A spokesperson for the Royal Highnesses said that the royal couple still cannot believe that they were attacked by students for this is something that they had never faced in their life before. The incident had no doubt left the entire royal family in a state of horror. The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Charles were visibly shaken as their Rolls Royce was being attacked by the mob. To their horror the royal limousine was badly kicked and then daubed in paint and finally a rear window of the car was destroyed as a result of the furious protests. The protests came up after MPs voted in favor of an amount which is a triple rise of the university fees resulting almost to 9,000. Since then, trouble has been surfacing in various parts of the city, finally affecting the royal couple.

The Prime Minister, David Cameron has expressed his concern over the incident saying that it is extremely unfortunate. According to sources, the Prime Minister said that the attack was extremely shocking and is regrettable adding that those who did it would certainly be punished. This is not the first time that protest regarding this issue have come up, however first time for something like Prince Charlescar being attacked by the students.
