LONDON - A new survey has revealed that British workers have 13.1m days of holiday left to take before the end of the year.

Nearly half of all employees - 45 percent - say they have unused holiday remaining to take before the end of the year, reports the Guardian.

One in 10 were willing to sacrifice the time owed to them, with a quarter of those with unused holidays saying they had five working days or more left to take.

Two in five said they could not afford to go away.

Conducted by travel and leisure website lastminute.com, the survey revealed that the main reason workers had failed to take their holiday time was the country’s economic situation. (ANI)
