BOSTON (GaeaTimes.com)- The Logan airport of Boston was the center of attention yesterday after the reports of a suspicious bag poured in near the Delta cargo building. The report resulted in the spread of a bomb scare rumor which ultimately turned out to be a damp squib. The incident also sparked tension as it was on the day ahead of the busiest travel day. The bag however did not have any bomb or explosive object as it was found by the officials later. Of course that came as a relief. The TSA did not want to take any risk and the building was surrounded soon by as many as 75 emergency responders. The routine check of the bags was in progress when a sniffer dog pointed to a particular duffel bag. The police got the bag X rayed soon and they were also prepared to cut it open and see the inside. The cargo building was soon surrounded by ambulances.

However, the bag was not dangerous as the X-ray results showed. The authorities said in their statement that there was nothing harmful in the suspected bag. Since the bag was brought by a new freight handling company the TSA thought it could have breached proper and adequate security measures. The authorities also evacuated 25 Delta employees at the Logan airport from the cargo facility.

The good thing is that the regular operations of the Logan airport were paused as the Cargo building was at the outskirts of the airport. This incident happened just after a warning was issued worldwide about the possibility of a terrorist assault.
