US Airways plane lands in CA after smoke in cabin

SAN FRANCISCO — A US Airways flight from Phoenix to Kahului, Hawaii, has landed safely at San Francisco International Airport after the pilot declared an emergency due to smoke in the cockpit.

A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration says the plane landed in San Francisco a little after 5 p.m.

An airport spokesman says after landing, the plane taxied to the gate. No injuries were reported.
