LONDON - French couples have miserable sex lives, revealed a survey that said that the couples often simply had “no desire” to have sex.
Three-quarters of the couples who took part in a poll admitted that they have poor sex lives.
The Daily Express reported Saturday that a quarter of the respondents used excuses such as headaches, stress, tiredness or the proximity of their children so as to not get intimate with their partner.
Nearly half of the couples told French pollsters IFOP that they often simply had “no desire” to have sex.
“Clearly French people have sexual problems they are not being open about.
“Sexual issues can cause much greater problems within a couple. On the woman’s side, she sometimes starts to feels undesirable. With men, they suffer impotence problems which make them feel less masculine and they can become hostile and aggressive,” Paris gynaecologist Sylvain Mimoun was quoted as saying.
“It is quite normal to want sex less some times rather than at others, but if that happens for prolonged periods it’s best to seek help.”
