We have poor sex lives, say French couples

LONDON - The French, who are thought to be great lovers, in reality lead miserable sex lives, says a survey.
Three-quarters of the couples who took part in a poll admitted that they have poor sex drive.
The Daily Express reported Saturday that a quarter of the respondents used excuses such as headaches, stress, tiredness or the proximity of their children not to get intimate with their partner.
Nearly half the couples told French pollsters IFOP that they often simply had no desire to have sex.
“Clearly French people have sexual problems they are not being open about,” Paris gynaecologist Sylvain Mimoun was quoted as saying.
“Sexual issues can cause much greater problems within a couple. On the woman’s side, she sometimes starts to feels undesirable. With men, they suffer impotence problems which make them feel less masculine and they can become hostile and aggressive,” she said.
“It is quite normal to want sex less some times rather than at others, but if that happens for prolonged periods it’s best to seek help.”
