Obama, NATO secretary-general to meet next Tuesday
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama plans to meet at the White House next week with NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen (AHN’-derz FOHG RAHS’-moo-sihn).
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs says the visit is part of Obama’s ongoing consultations with allies. The two leaders are expected to discuss NATO’s role in Europe and Afghanistan, as well preparations for a NATO summit in Lisbon, Portugal, in November.
