Outdoor Channel to launch in Asia, Europe
TEMECULA, Calif. — Outdoor Channel Holdings, which produces shows on hunting, fishing, shooting and other outdoor activities, said Thursday that it inked deals to distribute its content in Asia and Europe.
Financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Multi Channels Asia, a Singapore-based distributor of TV networks, will have exclusive rights to distribute Outdoor Channel in Asia starting in October.
The deal will make Outdoor Channel initially available to more than 1.5 million households in seven countries: South Korea, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
The company also said it partnered with Chello Zone, to distribute its content in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The programming deal between Chello Zone and Outdoor Channel was made as part of a joint venture with consultants ARA Amigos Ireland Ltd. The joint venture will be responsible for developing the channel internationally in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Outdoor Channel Inc. airs shows on hunting, fishing, shooting and other sporting pursuits.
