LOUISVILLE (GaeaTimes.com)- The woman who claimed that Republican Senate Candidate Rand Paul and his friend had kidnapped her and forced her to do stuff, has clarified her comments. She said that things had been blown out of proportion by the media and Rand Paul is not the crazy individual that he has been made out to be. She admitted that it was a part of college ritual and she went along with it because they were her friends.

The women had earlier said in an interview that Rand Paul and his friends had once blindfolded her and tied her up. She said that they had also asked her to smoke pot and then worship something called ‘Aqua Buddha’ at a nearby creek. Though Rand Paul had denied the charges and avoided the media, he did not deny the fact that the incident took place. The interview by the woman caused a huge media stir with Rand Paul being portrayed as a worshiper of the unknown ‘Aqua Buddha’. The unnamed woman, however, quickly backed away from the allegations of kidnapping saying that Rand Paul did not kidnap her in the ‘legal sense’ and he and his friends were just messing with her.

The controversy has led to a great deal of bad publicity for Rand Paul who was under fire recently for some racist comments. One of the magazines that broke the story said in a statement that they had researched and fact-checked the reports on Rand Paul’s college days and firmly stand by the story. They said that they have given Rand Paul Campaign every opportunity to deny the story which they, in fact, have not.
