Independence Day Of India 2010: Capital Under High Alert

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- With the 64th Independence Day of India just round the corner, the national capital in under high alert so that any terror strike as well as any kind of untoward incident can be avoided. The authorities are keeping no stones unturned to ensure that the security arrangement for the Independence Day celebrations are up to the mark as a number of prominent dignitaries would be attending the annual event to commemorate the day India gained its independence way back in the year 1947.

Although officials of the Delhi police as well as the paramilitary forces are going to be deployed all across the capital city, the security arrangements would be especially high near the Red Fort from where the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh would be addressing the entire nation after unfurling the national flag. Like every year, even during the Independence Day Of India 2010, without taking much chances, large number of police personnel would be deployed to avert any untoward incident. Apart from these, a close eye would also be kept on the key junctions of the city like railway station, airports and other important terminals so that a constant vigil can be maintained. Moreover, security agencies are keeping a watch on the arrangements that have been made at the Red Fort with the installation of CCTV cameras across the venue while NSG commanders would be deployed at the adjacent buildings.

In the meanwhile, on the occasion of Independence Day Of India 2010, Union Home Ministry has urged all the states across the country to tighten the security arrangements so that any attempts of terror strikes can be prevented.
