Obama welcomes British PM Cameron to White House
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama has welcomed Britain’s David Cameron on his first White House visit as prime minister.
Meeting with reporters in the East Room, Obama said their discussions included whether the beers from their hometowns are best served warm or cold. The two leaders exchanged the beers when they met in Canada during a global economic summit last month.
Obama says Cameron enjoyed a beer from Obama’s Chicago hometown and that he may send Cameron some more. Obama also says the British beer he got in return was excellent and noted that he drank it cold — not warm as the Brits like to do.
