Maternity leave rises to 180 days in Jharkhand

RANCHI - Women working in the Jharkhand government can now get 180 days of maternity leave, up from the present 135 days.

This was one of the proposals approved by the government, Aditya Swaroop, secretary of the cabinet coordination department, told reporters here Wednesday.

Jharkhand is now under President’s Rule, and key decisions are taken by the governor’s Advisory Council.
