WH announces Obama trip to Pittsburgh
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will travel to Pittsburgh next week for an event at Carnegie Mellon University.
The White House announced the trip on Friday as Obama returned from the Gulf Coast to Chicago, where he is spending the Memorial Day weekend with his family.
The Pittsburgh visit will happen next Wednesday. No additional details were released.
The White House has said it’s a priority for Obama to travel outside of Washington, and he’s been doing so on a near-weekly basis of late.
