DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- To ease the booking of domestic fliers IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) Indian Railway has come up with the option of booking tickets on their website itself. IRCTC has declared that the procedure for booking air tickets would be similar to that of the ticket booking procedure followed by IRCTC for railway tickets.
IRCTC also told the media that they have plans in store to launch the similar service operation for all domestic as well as foreign fliers. It was said that IRCTC would be keeping a track of the whole procedure depending upon which they will decide to move on further. All passengers shall be able to create their own accounts and then follow a simple procedure to book their e-tickets for their chosen destination.
Aneet Dullat who happens to the chairman for IRCTC is of the opinion that the commuters of the country face serious problems for travel and this very new procedure of booking e-tickets will definitely be a bliss to them. IRCTC officials have also declared further that they are aiming towards the development of a travel portal which is speculated to be a great revenue boost to the organization. What makes IRCTC unique from other airlines in the business is that they are not offering themselves on the competitive line. Instead they are doting upon the fact that the transformation of IRCTC as a travel portal would serve as a solution for all ticket booking procedures. IRCTC has already launched the ticket booking procedure for domestic destinations like Lakshadweep, Srinagar, Goa, Tirupati and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
