Ohio homeless beating suspect waives extradition
CINCINNATI — A soldier in Kentucky accused with three other men of beating a homeless man in Cincinnati will head to Ohio to face a felonious assault charge.
Twenty-four-year-old Riley Feller of Fort Knox waived extradition Wednesday.
Police say Feller and three others beat 52-year-old John Johnson, who was sleeping under a bridge April 10. Police say the men chose Johnson at random because they wanted to “kick somebody’s butt.”
Twenty-four-year-old Michael Hesson of the Cincinnati area was arrested on the same charge Monday. He was released on bond.
Police are working with the military at Fort Bragg in North Carolina to find a third suspect stationed there. They initially said a fourth suspect was also at Fort Bragg, but they were unsure of that Wednesday.
