Obama pushes back on Palin criticism
WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is dismissing the criticisms of Republican Sarah Palin over his policy on the use of nuclear weapons. He says the former Alaska governor is “not much of an expert” on the issue.
Obama’s comments came in an interview with ABC News, conducted Thursday when the president was in Prague. Obama is now on his flight home from the Czech Republic, where he signed a nuclear arms reduction pact with Russia’s president.
Palin’s criticisms came after Obama announced earlier this week that the U.S. would narrow the circumstance in which it might launch a nuclear strike. She compared Obama to a kid on a playground who would not fight back.
Says Obama: “Last I checked, Sarah Palin’s not much of an expert on nuclear issues.”
