Chilean Insulza re-elected to lead OAS

WASHINGTON — Jose Miguel Insulza has been re-elected to another five-year term as secretary-general of the Organization of American States.

The former Chilean Cabinet minister was the only candidate vying for the top job of the Western Hemisphere bloc.

He was re-elected by acclamation in a special session Wednesday of the Washington-based organization. The OAS has 33 active member states.
