SAN FRANCISCO (GaeaTimes.com)- The Forbes List that ranks the billionaires of the world reports that Microsoft patriarch Bill Gates is not the richest person of the world any more, a position that he had held for the past many years. The wealthiest man of the world is Mexican Carlos Slim Helu, as per the estimate by Forbes. Bill Gates is at the second spot as of now and his site or his Twitter account has no mention of his losing the first place. The asset of the richest man of the world is $53.5 billion. The asset of Bill Gates is worth $53 billion.
Apart from Carlos Slim Helu being named the richestman of the world, few Indians have secured their position among the top ten. Noted Indian industrialist and the son of late Dhirubhai Ambani, Mukesh Ambani is at the 4th place with an asset of $29 billion. He owns the Reliance Industries. The third place has gone to Warren Buffet who has assets worth $47 billion. Lakshmi Mittal, the owner of ArcelorMittal is at fifth position with assets worth $28.7 billion. The sibling of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani trails behind at 36th spot and his assets are worth $13.7 billion.
It has been found out according to the latest Forbes Billionaires report that New York has the maximum number of billionaires compared to any other city in the world. Although the world’s richest man is a Mexican, China has the second largest number of billionaires followed by Russia. Mark Zuckerberg, who set up facebook is the youngest billionaire at 25.
