Celanese raises prices on acrylic-based emulsions

DALLAS — Chemicals maker Celanese Corp. on Friday said it will increase the price of all acrylic-based emulsions in North America effective March 15, or as contracts allow.

Pure acrylic emulsions will increase by 6 cents per wet pound and vinyl-acrylic emulsions will increase by 3 cents per wet pound.

The products are used in paints, coatings, adhesives, construction products, paper and glass fibers.

Celanese shares closed Friday trading down 3 cents at $31.19.
