Haryana ups age bar for unmarried women in government service

CHANDIGARH - The Haryana government Monday raised the upper age limit from 40 to 45 years for unmarried women residents of the state trying to enter government service.

A notification to this effect was issued by Chief Secretary Urvashi Gulati, a state government spokesman here said.

The upper age limit for entry into government service for widows, women legally separated from their husbands and women deserted by their husbands is already 45 years in the state.
