Obama to attend DNC meeting, host Super Bowl party
WASHINGTON — Two favorite American pastimes — politics and football — are on President Barack Obama’s weekend agenda.
The president ventures out into an epic Washington snow on Saturday to address the winter meeting of the Democratic National Committee. That event is being held in a hotel not far from the White House.
On Sunday, the president and Mrs. Obama will host a Super Bowl party at the White House. Among the guests expected are nine Cabinet members and eight members of Congress.
The first family has also invited some service members who were injured in Iraq or Afghanistan and their families.
