Clarification: NKorea-Iran Weapons Trail story
MOSCOW — In a Jan. 20 story, The Associated Press reported on the crew, cargo and routing of a plane carrying North Korean arms that was detained in Thailand in December. The story was based in part on documents that the AP obtained independently.
The story should have noted, however, that the documents were first posted on the Web by analysts at the not-for-profit arms monitoring group TransArms, based in Chicago, and the International Peace Information Service, or IPIS, based in Antwerp, Belgium. The documents were reported on by the Wall Street Journal on Dec. 21.
