Michelle Obama: No need for first year do-overs
WASHINGTON — Looking back at her first year in the White House, Michelle Obama calmly proclaimed no need for any do-overs.
Not even the notorious November State Dinner penetrated by three party-crashers. She called it an “outstanding success” and dismissed the security breach as a “footnote.”
Speaking with reporters Wednesday, the first lady promised that people will be hearing a lot from her this year about childhood obesity. She said Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid need not apologize for his remarks about President Barack Obama’s race and dialect. Mrs. Obama declared: “I measure people more so on what they do rather than the things that they say.”
