Elaine Wynn says she’s moving toward charity work
LAS VEGAS — The wife of casino billionaire Steve Wynn says she plans to shift away from the gambling company where he is CEO and focus her attention on charity work as they divorce for the second time.
Elaine Wynn said Thursday that her attention would have changed even without a settlement in which the couple split their shares in casino operator Wynn Resorts Ltd.
Elaine Wynn, chairwoman of national nonprofit Communities in Schools, says charity work is her passion and will be her focus in coming years.
She spoke with The Associated Press the same day she announced that she and Steve Wynn were jointly donating $1 million to a food program for school kids.
He’ll always be her partner in some way, despite their personal split, she said.
