LAHORE - Raja Riaz, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader in Punjab has claimed that his party has “documentary proof” of the so-called “good governance” of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and will bring facts before the people.

He flayed the Shahbaz for his statement against President Asif Ali Zardari and said the Punjab Chief Minister was doing a drama of good governance.

He also said that Shahbaz established three CM secretariats in which thousands of people had been employed, burdening the provincial exchequer, the Daily Times reported.

He criticized the “turncoat politics” of the Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz in the name of Unification Group, and accused the Sharif brothers of indulging in “Changa-Manga politics” again.

Riaz said that his party tried to run the matters with PML-N smoothly, but Nawaz parted away with them to promote ‘lotacracy’.

Regarding the reconciliation with the PML-N, Riaz assured that toppling or destabilizing the Punjab government was not an option. He said the party would support the Shahbaz government for the sake of democracy.

Talking about the 19-point reforms agenda presented by the PPP to the Shahbaz government, Riaz said that all options, including strike and sit-in, were open.

Regarding sending references against the Unification Group of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid, Riaz said that his party could only extend moral support, as PPP cannot address internal affairs of other parties. (ANI)
