LONDON - Queen Elizabeth appears to be in no mood to allow her age to slow her down, with reports saying that she would be visiting Australia for a Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting later this year.

Queen, who will turn 85 in April, is reportedly preparing for a week-long visit to Australia in October.

There are reports that Prince William and Kate Middleton could also accompany the queen to that country.

The Daily Mail quoted a source as saying that although the queen is hopeful of making the 10,000- mile trip, she is worried that the couple’s presence could have an impact on her vital works in that country.

The Queen is also planning to host an incoming state visit by a leading world figure this spring, but the details have not been revealed for security reasons, the paper said.

Sources also say that despite her age concerns, the queen’s diary is packed with prior engagements. (ANI)
