Top US general: US has Plan B for slower Iraq exit
Egypt to receive stolen sarcophagus from US
Correction: Iraq storyBAGHDAD — In a Feb. 19 story about the period after Iraq's national elections, The Associated Press erroneously paraphrased a comment by Brig. Gen. Kevin Mangum, who oversees the U.S. role in eastern Baghdad. Mangum spoke of official concern, not fear, that a disputed vote result could re-ignite sectarian fighting. He did not refer to Iraq once being pushed to the brink of civil war. Instead Mangum said the U.S. military would be watching for signs of violence after the March 7 election.
