HYDERABAD - The Andhra Pradesh Assembly was adjourned today without conducting business over the Telangna issue.

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Communist Party of India (CPI) members stalled the proceedings of the house by demanding the Government to pass a resolution seeking the introduction of a Bill in Parliament over the statehood of Telangana.

The ruling Congress members from Telangana also joined them, holding placards and shouting slogans.

Members of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti boycotted the proceedings altogether.

Amidst all the chaos that followed, the Deputy Speaker adjourned the house for 15 minutes.

When the house reassemble after one and a half hours, the TDP Telangana members followed by the CPI MLAs stormed the Speaker’s podium again holding placards. (ANI)
