NEW YORK - After Lifetime, the Hallmark Channel is planning to make a TV film about Prince William and Kate Middleton’s romance.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Hallmark Channel is fast-tracking production on its own royal-romance biopic in order to premiere the TV movie on Aug. 13.
Barbara Fisher, Hallmark’s senior vice president of original programming, said ‘William and Kate: A Royal Love Story’ will tackle more than the couple’s romantic history.
“While biographical, the film is a love story with an inside look at the nuances of a modern monarchy,” the New York Daily News quoted Fisher as saying.
Linda Yellen, the TV film’s writer and producer, also produced 1982’s ‘The Royal Romance of Charles and Diana,’ a movie about Prince William’s parents and their ill-fated relationship.
Hallmark has yet to announce casting choices for ‘A Royal Love Story.’ (ANI)
